[ARCHIVED] Volunteers needed for Planning Commission

Volunteers needed for Planning CommissionPlanning Commission

Interested in helping shape the future of Warren County?

The Warren County Planning Commission is seeking volunteer members that are interested in community planning and development.

The Planning Commission is responsible for reviewing rezoning, subdivision and development plans and plays a key role in implementing the county’s comprehensive plan. The Commission advises the county commissioners on all land use and zoning-related issues.

The board meets on a monthly basis and the role allows individuals to make an impact in the community while also gaining experience in planning and local government. Members also bring a valuable voice to the table by representing the perspectives of county residents.

To apply, those interested are asked to submit a letter of interest and application to Michael Lyon, the county’s planning director, at mlyon@warrencountypa.gov.

The application is available at warrencountypa.gov/1197/Planning-Zoning in the “Documents” section by clicking on “Volunteer Application - Planning Department.”
