The Warren County Land Bank Authority is an extension of the Warren County Redevelopment Authority. Land Bank legislation came about as a result of municipalities finding themselves in difficult scenarios while redeveloping property within their boundaries. A Land Bank can offer the tools and powers necessary to obtain site control and move forward with an action plan, creating productive reuse for the community.
For any municipality to join the Land Bank, they must sign an intergovernmental agreement and pass a resolution. These documents can be obtained by contacting Pamela Matve at (814-728-3402).
In a unanimous decision in January, the Warren County Commissioners approved a contract with Vision Government Solutions to conduct a full reassessment of all properties within Warren County. The comprehensive project will begin in spring 2023, with properties being valued as of January 1, 2025, and the new values becoming effective to levy real property taxes starting in 2026.
